Quilting News from “Quilting With Lori” for 1st Quarter 2023!
Hope you are enjoying National Quilting Month! March is always a month where we can be inspired to get some quilting done… maybe finish a UFO or 2! I’ve been busy on numerous quilting projects; plus, I have also prepared a video tutorial on how I “Cut Up My Scrap Stash” which I will share in a link (see box below) so you can watch it!
This year has been a busy one for me so far with lectures and/or Workshops (virtual & in-person) at many guilds … from the British Isles Quilt Guild across the Pond; Heritage Quilt Guild in Lockport, IL and the Gulf States Quilting Association in Baton Rouge, LA (I so enjoyed my time with fellow quilting teachers while I was there! Had an especially fun time with Nina Clotfelter…she and I got to share a room for our workshops which worked out wonderfully. We had fun! Nina is one of the very talented teachers I worked with at the GSQA!) I also attended & vended at the Quilters of South Carolina Annual Meeting, and I will be lecturing and teaching at upcoming speaking engagements at Prairie Star Quilt Guild of St. Charles, IL the last week of March. In amongst all the speaking engagements, my husband and I traveled to Nashville, Tennessee; Pensacola Beach, Florida and Baton Rouge, Louisiana (where I taught workshops for 3 days). Then I flew to South Carolina for 8 days; it’s been a fun month!
On May 11 & 12, 2023, I will be conducting Virtual Workshops of my Marching Monkeys and Zinnias in Bloom classes with the Quiltfest.com Virtual Schoolhouse #5.
