Week #14: Christmas Family Circle Block and quilt pattern idea

by | Dec 12, 2022

Grab your Scraps and let’s create this beautiful Christmas Family Circle Scrappy Block!

Since many of us gather with family and friends during the holidays, how about bringing along the 6.5” snowballed (center) squares to your family celebrations and ask your family and friends to sign those blocks? Maybe each family could include a special memory, an event or Bible verse on their block. You could take the blocks back home and sew up a great family keepsake with those autographed squares!

The quilt diagram below (Scroll to bottom of post below video to see the quilt idea…) simply uses nine of the 12” blocks and a triple border (Border fabric widths for cutting: 1.5” inch dark red borders and a 2.5” holiday print border.)

The dark red squares are the snowballed squares in the pattern idea below; however, you can switch the values around so the 6.5” signature square is a Light value (for easy readability of signatures) or medium or dark! The choice is yours! Imagine all you could do with this simple pattern!  Create a quilt that is as large as needed for the size family you have!  Christmas Magic!
