Hope you had an opportunity to make it to the DeKalb County Quilters Guild Show… It took place this past weekend in conjunction with the Pumpkin Fest in Sycamore, Illinois. Take a look at this gorgeous Raffle quilt done by the Guild this past year. It is made with batik fabrics from a dear Guild member who passed away recently.
There were many, many quilts displayed in the Show which were made by the members of DCQG. Here are just a few pics of those quilts.
It was our Guild’s 40th Anniversary, so we had a Red/White and One Challenge. Take a peek at those fun Red/White/One quilts that were displayed!
Along with our Red/White and One Challenge, we also had an UGLY Fabric Challenge! Here are just a few of those quilts. It is amazing to see the fun ideas that came from the ugly fabrics!
There was a wonderful display in Memory of our Guild members who have passed away.
The Guild had fabulous Raffle Baskets… three tables full of them! Sadly, my name did not get drawn for any of the wonderful Raffle Baskets!
The rest of the photos here show the boutique and some beautiful Dear Jane quilts made by Sharron Evans…
We also had a number of ladies doing Demo’s all day on Friday and Saturday. So many talented ladies…”sew” many things to learn! If you live in the DeKalb/Sycamore area and are interested in a Quilt Guild, please visit us at our next meeting. Here is a link to our website with all the details you will need: Click here
