I pray you’ve all had a wonderful 2011 and that you’ll have an even better 2012! It’s been a busy year for me…teaching many sewing and quilting classes, crochet classes and knit classes. But it’s been fun and rewarding. I”ve met many new friends.
Over the Christmas holiday, I was able to spend some time with my granddaughter, Danielle, or Dani as we all call her. She was an “angel” in her Christmas pageant. Isn’t she adorable? I enjoyed the weekend I spent with her, my son and his wife.
This year, I have many classes planned…. Sewing and Quilting classes at Hobby Lobbby and Sycamore Park District, as well as Crochet and Knit classes at Michaels. This year also marks our semi-annual DeKalb County Quilt Show here in Sycamore, Illinois. I’m publicity chairperson on that Commitee. We have lots of great things planned for that show which will be September 29 -30, 2012. It will be held at the Sycamore Middle School. www.DCQG.org
My prayer to each and every one of you for the New Year 2012 comes from Proverbs 3:5-9; “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart: and lean not on thine own understanding; In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes, fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel and marrow to thy bones. Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”
