Lori’s “Sunny Sunflower Fields”
Featured in the Fall 2025 issue of “Quilt & Easy Quilts” magazine
Brilliantly simple sunflower-inspired blocks make this throw a fun and easy project. Made with four big, bold 24” blocks, this pattern comes together in no time and packs a sunny punch. This big block design was a delightful quilt for Lori to piece together. Beautiful batik fabrics provided brilliant hues for the large sunflower blocks. The large sections of the flowers and the roomy borders called out to her for custom ruler work quilting!

Lori’s “Midwest Fields”
Featured in the Fall 2025 issue of “Quiltmaker” magazine
Celebrate timeless tradition with this striking quilt featuring the classic Corn & Beans and Buckwheat blocks – set on point for added visual interest. Growing up in the Midwest brings to Lori’s mind lush fields of corn, beans, wheat and gardens found throughout the countryside. This quilt was inspired by those fields lined up in a patchwork of colorful rows as far as the eye can see. The fabrics I chose perfectly represent the colors and textures. The quilt is a little challenging, but Lori feels that it represents the challenges of life.
