Do you have loads of crumbs/scraps that you need to use up? This tutorial will walk you step by step through the process of making great Crumb Fabric for gorgeous quilts and quilted projects!
This will be a series of tutorials as I put together a great Wall quilt using Crumbs & my Stash! It includes creating Crumb fabric from which I cut applique template elements (hexies & orange peels & circles). It also will include making Crumb fabric for sashing using adding machine tape and creating crumb fabric section large enough to create a curved outside border for the quilt. (In Series 2 & 3!) You’ll see how I use a lightweight Pellon PLF36 interfacing to line the applique elements (hexies, orange peels, and circle).
(FYI: Toward the end of the first video there is about a 7-second clip with no sound as I am sharing info about threads that I’m using for the applique of the Crumb Hexies! My apologies! In that section I am explaining that I used Aurifil thread in the bobbin and an Embroidery (rayon) thread on the top for the applique.)
Here is the First Video of this series (below). The rest of the Videos in this series will be posted below over the next few weeks!
