We have finished piecing the Fall Fields of Four Mystery Quilt and now it is time to get it quilted! I have been asked to show some ideas of how I plan to quilt the two quilt tops that I’ve made. I will continue adding photos to this post throughout the week as I make progress on my quilt tops! Currently, I have the Gold & Orange quilt top on my Tin Lizzie longarm. I have started some Ruler work around the outer triangle border. Then I began some fun leaf and curly-ques in the light background sections. I’ve outlined the 4-patches in the Hourglass block and I’ve done feathers in the large HST (Half-Square Triangles).
I’ve used a gold thread (top) and a taupe bobbin thread. I use 80/20 Hobbs batting.
So far, here are a few photos to, hopefully, give you some inspiration!
Here are a few more photos of the quilting on my first Fall Fields of Four quilt!
This quilt is off the frame now and the binding is going on! Next, I will get the blue/green Fall Fields of Four quilttop up on the Tin Lizzie machine! Photos of that one to come… Happy Quilting! Lori Dickman
