The Madison Quilt Expo was again a fabulous Show. The hundreds of quilts on display are amazing! I love seeing the talent of quilters from around the country on exhibit!
This year I also took some classes. I have always enjoyed Landscape quilting and want to start working more in this area. I took a class from Cathy Geier…great class with great information and fabulous “eye candy” inspiration!
Hope you had an opportunity to enjoy the Show. I thought I’d share just a few of the wonderful pieces here in my blog.
The “Birds of a Feather” quilt above, is one of my quilts that was juried into the Madison Show. Always fun to see one of your quilts hanging on exhibit!
The four photos above are Cathy Geier’s Landscape quilts. Gorgeous, aren’t they?
I fell in love with this beautiful quilt. The brilliance of the colors of the bird, the background and the sunflower! Oh, my!
This amazing quilt is one of a fellow Sinnissippi Guild member, Robin Gausebeck. from Rockford, IL. Her quilts have won numerous awards in many different Quilt Competitions!
Take a look at the detail on this beauty!
This fun quilt is Chris Lynn Kirsch’s “Silly Goose” ! The concept and the quilting is remarkable!
Here is one of Phyllis Campbell’s quilts (another fellow member of my Sinnissippi Quilt Guild). She had a number of quilts in the Show. She loves entering quilts in Quilt Challenges across the country and has won numerous awards also!
These are close-ups of Cathy Geier’s “Gotta Dance!” quilt. AMAZING!!!
Here is a fun quilt by Chris Lynn Kirsch! New technique she is teaching. Great fun!
And this one… WOW!
There was so much “Eye Candy” at the Show that it is a bit overwhelming at times! The best part of attending any quilt show, though, is that when you get home, you feel so inspired to have fun in your quilt studio and do what you love…. QUILT!!!
