My Quilts at the Quilt Expo

by | Sep 15, 2018

The Quilt Expo at Madison, Wisconsin, was again a great success. So much to see… so many wonderful lectures, classes and demo’s!

The photo above shows one of my quilts that was juried into the Quilt Expo. I was very excited to receive notification that they accepted two of my quilts to display in the Show. This quilt is called Freedom. It is my own design It’s construction is both pieced and lots of applique!

The quilt shown in the photo above is Caribbean Blues. This quilt top was pieced when I was on the quilt cruise in the Caribbean in 2016. I finally got it quilted this year. The center of the quilt is all fat quarter fabrics that I received from my granddaughter for Christmas one year. I really like how it turned out!

There was a wonderful exhibit honoring Nancy Zeiman and Natalie Sewell. The exhibit displayed many of the beautiful landscape quilts that Nancy and Natalie created. It was a beautiful exhibit. If you attended the Show, I certainly hope you were able to go through this special display.

There were so many beautiful quilts that were on display. Here is one of my favorites… it won a blue ribbon. I took a close up so you can see the beautiful “Hand” quilting that this this gal did on the quilt! t must have taken her months and months to finish this!  The applique is gorgeous and so is the quilting!

Below are a few more photos of some great quilts at the Expo. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
